François graduated from Université Laval with a degree in administration, specializing in urban and real estate management. He has more than 20 years’ experience to his credit, during which he has lent his expertise to support companies in their real estate projects. As a real estate expert, he has met the specific needs of many companies, notably in the technology, legal, engineering and communications sectors. François has also been involved for several years with Centraide’s innovation committee, and holds a seat on the board of directors of EO Québec.
Jasmine studied administration at Université Laval with a profile in international management. Before concentrating on commercial real estate, she worked in a number of sectors, including communications, publishing, business development and corporate mergers and acquisitions. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish. She is also involved in a number of committees and organizations, including the Board of Directors of the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Québec and Capitale mobilité.
Eric completed a bachelor’s degree in Consumer Sciences at Université Laval and then worked in the banking industry, where he developed skills in strategic consulting, needs analysis and risk management.
He has been actively involved in the Quebec City community for over 5 years, notably with the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Québec as Director, Vice-President and now President, as well as with the Jeunes Philanthropes de Québec (2019-2022).
Jenny studied Criminology and Consumer Sciences at Université Laval. For nearly 10 years, she gravitated to the business world through her work in entrepreneurial coaching and at the Quebec City Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Through her varied professional experiences, she has developed expertise in business development, communications and customer relations. In 2023, she reoriented her career towards real estate, a field in which she has shown a particular interest in recent years. She will put her interpersonal and business skills to good use in assisting her customers with various real estate transactions.
For more than 25 years, we’ve gone beyond real estate transactions, investing ourselves fully in understanding the specific needs of each customer and designing tailor-made solutions to optimize their real estate situation.
1993
His beginnings in real estate brokerage
In 1993, Mark Bender left IBM to begin his career in real estate brokerage, quickly recognizing the lack of services dedicated to commercial real estate in the Quebec City region.
1997
Founding and development of Bender & Associés
Founding Bender & Associés in 1997, he specialized in the exclusive representation of space tenants, filling a crucial need absent in other major urban centers. His approach, innovative then as it is today, avoids the conflicts of interest common in the sector, putting the interests of space-using companies first.
2000
Family succession takes its place
François Bender joined the company in 2000 with a degree in administration from Université Laval, specializing in urban and real estate management. His studies and professional experience have enabled him to master real estate appraisal, project management and financing. He has represented various companies in lease renegotiations, relocation and custom construction. Active in Quebec City’s philanthropic community, he contributes to several foundations. The Bender & Associés team has also been strengthened by the arrival of Marie-Jasmine Cantin Obando, Jenny Lapointe and Eric Marquis, the latter in charge of business development.
